this is my country!

yesterday was national day! to put it honestly and truthfully, i know many people have put in lots of effort to perform during the parade, but i was still bored to total shit. the show was just so boring, i was lounging around in my uncle's house looking for a quiet place to finish my physics homework. they show the same stuff every year! always the same old shit.

i think people go to the parade and fight desperately for tickets just to watch the PARADE, the march-past and stuff like the fire of joy, not the show segment. okay i can't say that for everyone, maybe it only applies to me.

but the fireworks were great! i could see them from where i was, at the rooftop from arthur road. i could see the stadium too, and all the brilliant flashes of colour. oh, and the beacons of light shining from the stadium are damn powerful, they could actually reach out all the way to the clouds.

anyway, the fireworks were great! i just felt so happy and carefree watching the fireworks burst into spectacular fountains of colour and light, with a hongkong family muttering some nonsense in cantonese behind me. there were a few special ones this year, like the heart-shaped ones. but i didn't like them as much as the normal ones that exploded with a loud BANG and with thundering shockwaves, haha i'm retarded.

oh and singapore idol was funny man. they chose a real good timeslot for its premiere, i bet half of singapore was watching. everyone says the lemon tree guy was a nightmare, but the whispering guy was tons worse! patrick khoo or something, if i'm not wrong. horrible! i was cringing away and yelling at the poor TV for him to shut up and screw off. he just couldn't get it into his head that he sucked. man.

anyway, i'm looking forward to the next episode, i wanna see the watermelon/banana head man they kept featuring in the previews.

okay, time to go finish my homework. i don't think i can finish this weekend's homework. and i haven't done any revision at all over this whole long weekend. sigh, i'm so worried i won't be able to finish revising in time for prelims. the teachers should just let us alone! stop piling us with work and forcing us to hand it in. my whole schedule has been ruptured already.

seeya!
